Bexhill-on-Sea SHELTER & KIOSK

The wind off the sea in Bexhill-on-Sea can get quite ferocious, blowing sand and salt water across the promenade. Superfusionlab designed 3 shelters to offer maximum view and access while providing a shaded, protected seating space. In addition to the shelters we designed a protected kiosk to provide ice-cream, sun cream, towels and other sea-side essentials to visitors of the promenade.

A single undulating curve creates the protective areas of the shelter and kiosk. While seated within the shelter, the view to the sea is unobstructed, as is the view along the promenade from the kiosk and toward the De La Warr Pavilion.

The kiosk and shelters were designed to be built using cutting edge technologies to eliminate construction time on site.
